Yes, we ship globally. When choosing free shipping, the delivery typically arrives within 1-2 weeks. With paid express shipping orders can be delivered in a few days.

We are expanding fast and we're always interested in establishing new partnerships with relevant local distributors and dealers - send us a mail via our contact form to discuss further.

The CL2000/CL3000 include a real-time clock. This means that each CAN message gains a date-and-time stamp, allowing you to identify the specific timing of the given message (e.g. March 14, 16:07:57.125). In comparison, the CL1000 "only" tells you how much time has passed since you started logging data.

In addition, the CL3000 adds WiFi - enabling you to collect data remotely and frequently. In particular, you can set up the CL3000 to connect via a WLAN/cellular hotspot and auto-transfer data to your server for frequent & automatic data collection.

We believe there is a space and demand for solid, quality CAN loggers at low cost - designed in Denmark and produced in USA. Our focus is on providing the most critical features, while balancing it with a constant focus on simplicity. This implies that our CAN loggers typically have a bit less features than some alternatives - but at the same time we offer a substantially lower price tag. At the same time, we are not willing to compromise on quality or customer service - which means we are still priced higher than some of the absolute budget loggers on the market. However, this combination of low price, strong quality and great service means that our customers so far are extremely satisfied!

No - both software and shipping are free (though we charge the direct shipping cost for express deliveries). You can find the express shipping rates by adding a product to your cart and selecting the relevant destination country.

The CLX000 series is used in several automotive applications, including motorsports - see our use case section for examples. We have not had any feedback indicating problems with shock/vibration resistance. The internal SD-card is not soldered, though it is kept in place by the enclosure. If the device is exposed to extreme shock, we cannot however guarantee that the card will not move. For long-term exposure to vibrations or shocks, some of our motorsports customers apply foam to the inside of the enclosure to reduce the impact.

The CLX000 series has been tested to operate in temperatures of -20degC to +80degC. In practical applications, it has been used in extreme vehicle applications with no issues - from the hot summer of Istanbul to the frozen winter of Canada! However, the loggers do have an "open" usb-connector and 3x LED openings, hence it must be protected from water or encased accordingly.

The CLX000 stamps every message with a 1ms resolution timestamp. We recommend using filtering or prescaling if the message rate exceeds 1000 msg / sec (depending on configuration).

The CL3000 includes WiFi functionality with various modes including Access Point, Station Mode and automatic FTP upload to a server you specify. The latter is our most popular mode as the CL3000 will automatically start pushing files when it is in range of it's designated WiFi hotspot. For more info, check our CL3000 product page.

No, at this stage, we do not offer CAN data loggers with multiple physical channels. Some of our customers use multiple CLX000 devices, one for each channel. They then use the real-time clock to synchronize the data, though this does not provide an excact solution. We expect to release a 2x High Speed channel logger in 2019 - subscribe to our newsletter to be notified.

You can specify pre-defined bit rates using the CANvas tool or by directly altering the configuration file. Further, you can choose to add auto bit-rate detection, which will be the simplest choice for most applications.

Yes, though the enclosing will need to be opened somewhat forcefully. However, several of our customers do this to e.g. ship SD cards from customers for analysis.

We recommend checking out the product manual or our Getting Started intro to get a detailed walkthrough of the LED lights and interpretations - in case you are still in doubt, contact us.

Yes you can! The CLX000 works both as a standalone CAN logger with SD card - and as a CAN interface. This means that it can stream real-time data when plugged into a PC via the USB connector. Further, we leverage the #1 network analyzer, Wireshark, as our platform for real-time CAN bus analysis. Within Wireshark, we've added a CAN bus specific plugin that adds features such as DBC support, CAN sniffer views and much more. For more on this, check out our GUIDES page!

Yes, CANvas supports .dbc files. We support the DBC file format for both conversion of logged CAN data files, as well as for streamed CAN data via our Wireshark integration. The latter utilizes our free Wireshark plugin. Both types of DBC support can handle J1939 DBC files. Further, the Wireshark plugin also offers a built-in OBD2 filter to show live OBD2 data easily in converted form. If you need to convert J1939 data, check out our low cost J1939 DBC file.

The CAN logger software CANvas allows you to filter messages by IDs. With this advanced message filtering you can minimize the unwanted messages. However, the setup is limited by 4 channels - this means that if you wish to target more than 8 CAN IDs, the filter will not be exact. In that case, you will log the intended messages, though also some additional unintended messages. CANvas does, however, allow you to clean your data 'ex post' by specifying what IDs should be converted and which to exclude once the logged data is processed.

No, by default the CAN logger will record all messages - if you wish to filter for specific messages, you can utilize the advanced message filtering in the CANvas software.

Yes, the logger will log all CAN bus data in HEX format by default.

Yes, CANvas is able to help you update & configure the CAN bus recorder, as well as support conversion of the logged data into scaled engineering values. This means that you can very easily get your logged data into physical values for plotting in e.g. Excel.

Furter, with the addition of our Wireshark integration, you can leverage the built-in graphical plot capabilities of Wireshark. You can do this both for raw log files that you load and convert (using our DBC or OBD2 support features) or for live-stream data that you convert real-time. Check out our GUIDES page for more on this!

The CAN recorder supports 'cyclic logging mode' (oldest log file is deleted when file system is full) - though with the 8GB SD card, significant storage is available by default.
